Tweet Lady wins at Kempton
Racing for Change launched a scheme a little while back giving the opportunity for Twitter fans to become virtual owners of a race horse. Tweet Lady, a two-year-old filly, tweets regularly about her life and training – helped out by her trainer and jockey – and now has 1,400 followers on Twitter. She is the first racehorse to have a huge number of virtual owners through this popular social networking site. There is no cost involved in becoming a virtual owner of Tweet Lady and by registering on the website, owners get a chance to win owners’ badges when she races. Tweet Lady won her most recent race at Kempton Park on 16th Aug 2011.
