Lower Withington Horse Show raises over 8K for the NSPCC
Lower Withington Horse Show has been running for over 30 years attracting visitors both young and old. There are lots of things to see and do including: show jumping, competitions, jumping classes and an array of stalls selling everything from animal products to childrens toys.
This year the show, which took place an Astle Park in Chelford on 1st May, attracted a record number of visitors and raised funds for Childrens Charity the NSPCC.
The show proved to be a great success and final figures have just been announced that this year’s show raised over £8,500 for the worthy cause.
The money raised will help support the NSPCC’s vital help line schemes including: Child Voice Appeal, Childline and the NSPCC helpline for adults who are concerned about a child.
Speaking about the day Rachel Walker, NSPCC community fundraising manager for Cheshire said: “I’m thrilled that the Lower Withington Horse Show has raised over £8,500.
“It was a great day out for the whole family and I’d like to thank the show committee for organising a fantastic event and the local community and local businesses for helping making the day a huge success.”
