For the first time in history, a British colt racehorse by the name of Frankel has been valued at £100 million.

Three-year-old Frankel has already earned his owner £805,000 in prize money and will receive almost £1 million if he wins at the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot this year. He has won all eight of his flat races, and is kept at Warren Place Stables in Cambridgeshire.

Frankel can gallop at up to 40mph and has been nicknamed the ‘Usain Bolt’ of the horse racing world. He is owned by Khalid Abdullah, a Saudi Arabian Prince and multi-billionaire businessman.

Spokesman Nick Attenborough of Racing For Change, stated: ‘Frankel is the perfect racehourse, he is big and extremely powerful. When he gallops very few horses can keep up with him and he has incredible stamina.’

‘He has such a huge stride that he often makes other very capable horses look slow. Frankel used to be very headstrong when he was young but he has calmed down and is maturing into a phenomenal horse.’

To buy, Frankel would cost £75 million.
