All set for charity race at Glorious Goodwood
This year a charity race has been added to the schedule, one that will see 10 female celebrities racing over six furlongs raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
One of the celebrities taking to the saddle is BBC Radio 1 Presenter, Sarah Cox who will be riding “What’s the Point”, a name which Sarah thinks may well underestimate her partner’s abilities saying “I don’t think it’s fair calling him ‘What’s The Point’. He’ll be a superstar one day.”
The women joining Cox include supermodel Edie Campbell, Tatler editor Kate Reardon and British dressage rider Laura Bechtolsheimer.
Organisers hope the race will help broaden Goodwood’s appeal to a wider audience.
They have also enlisted the help of some trendy fashion designers to create the silks, namely Issa and Jasmine Guinness – raising the fashion stakes for silks.
Glorious Goodwood is taking place from 27th – 29th July, The charity race takes place on Ladies day, Thursday 28th July.
