World Horse Welfare does bit for Children in Need

Equine insurance customers could be interested to learn that the World Horse Welfare did its bit for Children in Need last week by raising vital money for the annual UK-wide fund-raising event.

Staff as the horse charity's head office in Snetterton, Norfolk, wore spotty outfits and baked plenty of cakes to help out the event which aids an array of diseases up and down the country and as providing grants to community projects.

World Horse Welfare's supporter fundraising officer Frances Plume said everyone at the office had got behind the idea to support Children in Need and staff that came up with the best fancy dress had the chance of competing for a number of prizes.

“Children in Need does a wonderful job in providing grants in the UK to aid disadvantaged children and young people and it’s great that we are able to play a part in helping," Ms Plume added.

On Friday (November 18th) alone, Children in Need managed to raise over £26 million, which is a record on-the-night total.
