World Horse Welfare celebrates Olympic torch passing

The World Horse Welfare has celebrated the passing of the Olympic torch near its Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Lancashire in style by holding a Fun Day.
It passed through Fylde near Blackpool last week and as a result officials at the charity organised an Olympic-themed day yesterday (June 24th) at the Penny Farm centre.
There was a plethora of activities for people to head along to and enjoy including a showjumping demonstration, donkey rides, a bouncy castle, face painting and a dog agility display.
Homemade cakes were also available for people to munch on as they enjoyed the day out.
The day culminated in a number of sports day favourites involving the rescue horses at the centre including things such as basketball, races and other agility games.
"We thought what better way to bring the community together and celebrate the Olympics than by holding a Fun Day," said visitor centre officer Zoe Clifford.
