Woman loses weight to ride horse again
A woman's love of horse riding is what helped her to lose weight.
Shirley Lee liked nothing more than to take her horse Tess out for a gallop, but after tipping the scales at 12 st and 3 lbs – despite being only 5 ft tall – she realised she needed to go on a diet, the Echo reports.
Ironically, she first started gaining weight in 2002 after an accident while horse riding saw her break her leg and left her unable to exercise for a while.
"When I wasn't on a diet, I ate very badly. I had ready meals every day and lots of sweets and chocolates. Lunch would be a visit to the chip shop when I was really busy," Ms Lee said.
The lady added realising she might not ever be able to do the thing she loved again provided her with the inspiration to eat healthy and shed the pounds.
