Sprinter Sacre one of 17 lined up for Cheltenham
Nicky Henderson's highly rated star horse Sprinter Sacre is one of just 17 entries for the Grade One Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
The seven-year-old completed an unbeaten novice chase season with a dominant victory by seven lengths over Cue Card in the Arkle at the Festival last year.
He further enhanced his reputation with brilliant 15-length win over rival Sanctuaire in the Tingle Creek Chase last month.
Sizing Europe – the 2011 winner of the Queen Mother Champion Chase and last year's runner-up – has also been entered.
The 11-year-old made it three wins out of three this season, triumphing over Rubi Light in a Grade One chase at Leopardstown on December 27th.
His trainer Henry De Bromhead said: "I'd imagine he will have one more race before The Festival and we are looking at the Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown in early February. We just want to keep our options open."
