Royal visit to Brixton stables
A stable in Brixton, London has received a royal visit from the Queen and Duchess of Cornwall.
They visited the Ebony Horse Club, of which the Duchess is a patron, yesterday (October 29th) to tour the urban stables.
The Queen knows a thing or two about horses, as she breeds her own, but she certainly seems to admire horses of all shapes and sizes.
She said: "They aren't your typical polo ponies, are they, but they have a lot of spirit."
Equine lover Camilla planned ahead with a supply of polos for the horses, and was seen feeding one lucky individual, Buddy.
Rider Kamina Edmondson-Brown said: "She came prepared with a really large bag of them and now of course Buddy obviously wants more."
Ebony Horse Club was founded in 1996 and aims to teach disadvantaged children about areas such as teamwork and commitment through equestrian care and riding – it also encourages sports such as jumping and polo.
