Riders encouraged to head to Yorkshire
Equine insurance customers might be interested in going to Yorkshire on horseback after a company was set up to promote riding in the county.
Ride Yorkshire has been launched to entice new riders to the county for horseback holidays and discovering new routes across the region.
The organisation is currently running holidays on three courses in the North York Moors, while a five-day ride was launched in the Yorkshire Wolds earlier this month.
Charles and Karen Bignell of Staffordshire took part in the five-day route in September and told the Horse and Hound it was beautiful.
One of the founders of the company John Yeomans added: "We believe Yorkshire is the best place for leisure riding in the world and we want to promote it as such."
The company has two more events planned for this month, which are the Heart of the Wolds funride and a talk on the equestrian tourism business.
