Post-Olympics boom reaches riding centres
The success of Team GB's equestrian teams has seen a huge rise in the number of people looking to take up the sport in riding schools across the country.
London 2012 was the equestrian team's most successful Games ever, including securing their first ever gold medals in the dressage competitions.
This success has inspired more people to try their hand at the sport it appears as a number of riding schools up and down the country have reported a marked rise in interest.
Indeed, James Shepherd, who runs South Cambridgeshire EC, told Horse and Hound that he has witnessed "a massive increase in inquiries from new clients and people returning to riding".
Spokesman for Ebony Riding Club in Brixton agreed that London 2012 has had a positive effect on the interest of the sport.
"We have seen a rise in interest, which is almost certainly connected to the Games," the spokesman continued.
