Grand National review expected next week
The official review into this year's Grand National is expected to be released at some point next week, with some expecting further changes to the course.
Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Synchronised was one of two horses that died during the race on April 14th, alongside According to Pete.
This was the second year running that there were two fatalities in the legendary four-and-a-half-mile course.
These deaths have led to further questions about the race's future in its current guise and whether course officials can guarantee the safety of the animals, while also keeping the spectacle of the race.
It is thought that the main things the report will focus upon are the field's condition, the size and depth of the fences and the start, which was particularly chaotic this year.
The start was so poor that the British Horseracing Authority wrote to all 40 riders after the race to express its disappointment at the way it was conducted.
