Graham Motion bids farewell to Animal Kingdom
Prominent English trainer Graham Motion will say goodbye to his most prolific horse this week.
The horse, Animal Kingdom, cemented Motion's position as a top trainer in the US but will bow out of the arena this week. A Telegraph report has said that Motion will now aspire to realise his dream of training an English horse, in his native home.
As Royal Ascot 2013 kicks off this week from June 18th-22nd, there are mixed feelings for the trainer. While there are strong hopes for his future career, the stepping back of the Queen Anne Stakes favourite provides much speculation as to his next career move.
Animal Kingdom will be leaving the course at the end of a stunning career to be a stud horse at Lambourn centre.
In 2011 he won the Kentucky Derby and the Dubai World Cup in March 2013, proving him a true top-class pedigree. This horse has provided career-defining races.
