Frankel to have racecourse gallop in September
Frankel is set to have a racecourse gallop at Newmarket at the end of this month in preparation for his expected final race the month after.
The world's top-rated horse, who is unbeaten in all 13 of his races, will run an hour before the Cambridgeshire Day card on September 29th.
This is all part of the colt's build-up to what is expected to be his last race at the Champions Stakes on October 20th.
Frankel is trained in Newmarket and the gallop will not only give him a chance to stretch his legs but will also present punters the chance to see one of the greatest horses that's ever lived.
This is likely to give Newmarket a bumper crowd as Frankel is also one of the most popular horses on the circuit.
He last raced in August and stepped up in distance to enhance his reputation even further with an imperious victory in the Juddmonte International at York.
His trainer Sir Henry Cecil said of the colt's build-up to Ascot: "I am very happy with Frankel's work at this stage."
