Ebony Horse Club to be official charity for Olympia
The Ebony Horse Club in Brixton has been named as the official charity for this year's Olympia, The London International Horse Show, which takes place from December 17th to 23rd.
It will receive a cut of the ticket sales from the afternoon performance on Wednesday December 19th, as well proceeds from the "shop and drop" stall.
The Ebony Horse Club is a charity that helps improve the life skills and education of disadvantaged children and youngsters growing up in Brixton by providing access to horse riding.
A spokesman for the charity told Horse and Hound that everyone involved with the organisation was very excited with the news.
He also said the support shown by the event's organisers was brilliant and they "couldn't quite believe it".
Kelly Walker of Olympia organisers the HPower Group commented: "It will act as a publicity stand for Ebony where they can promote themselves and fundraise all through the show."
