Deborah Meaden throws support behind horse charity

Posted on | 0 Responses

Did you know that the Dragon's Den investor Deborah Meaden is a horse lover? Behind that steely exterior lies a woman keen to help the world's equines have better lives.

She has teamed up with the Brooke charity to promote their efforts to re-educate owners in South America and Asia about the welfare of horses, donkeys and mules, reports the Daily Mail.

Ms Meaden is also putting her own skills to use, showing communities how they can use their animals to be more self sufficient if they treat them properly.

She told the news provider: "It's the best feeling in the world to know that these beautiful animals are going to get better care through straightforward education. There is no downside – I want these simple lessons to benefit people everywhere."

Despite making a career for herself in other areas, Ms Meaden understands horses, having owned them since she was 12-years-old.

By helping Brooke, which has projects in 11 countries, she is giving back to an animal that has been a life-long love.
