County Durham woman involves horse in her NekNomination

The NekNomination craze has been sweeping the nation and now it seems that even horses are getting involved.

Indiana Ralph from County Durham rode her thoroughbred heavyweight cob Mr Bumble the Third into the Bishop Auckland branch of Tesco and downed a can of Pepsi, reports the Mirror.

Friends of the 21-year-old secretary filmed the stunt, as staff at the supermarket tried to handle the situation, which has been condemned by police.

Ms Ralph defended herself saying: "I received a Neknomination from my friend Lena Smith and wanted to do something really different and hit on the idea of involving my horse.

"He's real quiet and very well trained so I knew no one would come to any harm. I told my three cousins to meet me at Tesco."

NekNomination is thought to have originated in Australia and sees participants trying to outdo each other by drinking in more and more extreme ways.

While Ms Ralph did not consume alcohol for her stunt, some people have been seen downing potentially fatal quantities of spirits.
