Black Caviar makes it 25 wins in a row
The brilliant unbeaten sprinter Black Caviar managed to make it 25 wins from 25 starts with victory in the $1 million (£684,490) TJ Smith Stakes in Sydney on Saturday (April 13th).
As a result of the victory, the Australian mare has set a national record of 15 Group One wins in her career, moving clear of Kingston Town.
It is also an Australian record eight successive Group One triumphs for the superb racer.
Trainer of the horse Peter Moody was full of praise for his charge after yet another triumph, stating: "I'm extremely proud of her holding that record. She's a mighty mare. Horses look fast until they line up against her."
Moody has already hinted that Black Caviar could return to Royal Ascot after last year's win in the Golden Jubilee Stakes, but insists that no final decision has been made.
He added that if she was to return then there is a possibility Black Caviar would mate with Frankel.
