Equine insurance customers might be looking to take a trip to Suffolk in the near future after learning that artist Tory Lawrence has paid homage to the contribution that horses have had to the county.
Ms Lawrence has had a life-long love of horses and her latest exhibition celebrates the impact that equine racing has had on the county as a whole and the effect that the animals have had on the landscape, the Eastern Daily Times reports.
The artist said landscape was part and parcel of the whole Newmarket racing experience and it is why competition was developed there in the first place so it is important in her work.
“I like to use the landscape and the heath as an integral part of my work. I don’t want to do horses just standing there against a neutral background," she continued.
Ms Lawrence's exhibition entitled Land and Horse is on display at The National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket until February 12th 2012.
