Plans for a new equestrian centre in Somerset

A venture under the name of Mendip Plains Equestrian Centre is on the way and is set to open next spring. The application for planning has been positively received and being processed for a much-awaited cross-county facility in the area. The equestrian centre will consist of a cross-country course, a 50m x 70m arena and stabling for the horses at Chewton Field Farm, near Ston Easton, Somerset. The Green family, who will manage the centre, explained that the proposal for these plans was positively received as there are not many cross-country courses in the area and the equestrian centre will also create employment in the locality.
