People without London 2012 tickets can watch London Live

Posted on | 0 Responses

Equine insurance customers that didn't manage to get tickets to the London 2012 Olympics will still be able to watch the Games on large screens in the capital as part of London Live.

Outdoor screenings of the equestrian events, among others, will be taking place for free in Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square, Horse and Hound reports.

The plans are part of London's commitment to ensure as many people as possible have a chance to be involved in the Games in a "massive celebration of sport and entertainment".

"With the eyes of the world on London for the 2012 Games, we are creating a jam-packed programme of exciting events that will show the city at its very best," said London's mayor Boris Johnson.

In August, it was announced that the British Equestrian Federation was set to invest £250,000 in a new training and rehabilitation centre in south-east London that would help the sport create a lasting legacy after the Games.
