Join sponsored pony walk in Aberdeen

Posted on | 0 Responses

The World Horse Welfare is hoping as many people as possible will join a sponsored walk taking place in Aberdeen next month.

It is being organised in order to highlight the importance of physical exercise to keep ponies healthy and also to help keep laminitis under wraps.

Laminitis is a disease that affects the feet and is normally found in cattle and horses. Clinical signs include lameness, inflammation and increased temperature of the hoof.

Chloe McCutcheon is organising the August 4th walk in aid of the World Horse Welfare, whose staff helped rescued an rehabilitate her current horse Haggis.

Ms McCutcheon is hoping to encourage other people and ponies to join her walk to raise money and burn some calories at the same time.

"The walk will be hard work as it’s uphill some of the way, but it will all be worth it as we will be able to see the picturesque River Dee and the forest pines," she continued.
